Hepatitis B Considerations

This module will help senior policy makers understand hepatitis B and how immunization programmes can decrease hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It also provides information on how to add hepatitis B vaccine to an immunization programme and how to manage the addition of a new vaccine.

Choose one of the titles on the left side of the page to learn how to:

  • explain HBV and the diseases associated with it,
  • estimate hepatitis B disease burden in your country,
  • access the vaccine and make the case for introducing hepatitis B vaccine,
  • design and manage your hepatitis B immunization programme,
  • evaluate and monitor your programme; and
  • access resources for further study of hepatitis B.

In each section you will be able to review important information about hepatitis B and answer questions that test your understanding.
