AIM e-Learning Project Partners
Welcome to the Advanced Immunization Management e-Learning project.
PATH's Children's Vaccine Program (CVP), with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, financed SUMMIT (Stanford University Medical Media and Information Technologies) to pilot and test the feasibility of using e-learning as a tool for immunization managers. Based on encouraging results, this project was launched and matching support was provided by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health (LPFCH).
AIM is a collaborative effort between PATH's CVP, SUMMIT, LPFCH, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and other partners of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations. We would like to thank all the partners who made this possible.
While navigating this e-learning tool, you will see how e-learning can be used to address priority training and decision-making needs. Specifically, this tool provides examples of textual, visual, hyperlinked and interactive e-learning modules on Immunization Financing and Considerations for Introduction of New and Underutilized Vaccines. In addition you will find tutorials on how to use the spreadsheet application - Microsoft Excel.
E-learning is most effective when used to provide additional depth to issues introduced in face-to-face meetings or workshops. Facilitator guides for such sessions are available on the AIM e-Learning site. These guides include an introduction to the e-learning modules and outline how to use the module effectively to improve immunization programs. AIM e-Learning is available on the Internet at http://aim-e-learning.stanford.edu and on CD-ROM. Because the content will be periodically updated and new modules added, please refer to the Internet for the most recent version. All CD-ROMs will be dated so that they can be easily updated when a new version becomes available.
